Helps clinicians identify clinical trials for patients on the basis of their genetic mutations.
Key Features
CLINICAL
The Trial Matching Tool supports clinicians in the exploration of relevant experimental trial options for their patients. It answers questions such as “What clinical trial options are there for this patient based on their tumour genotype?”
DATA
The system ingests trials data from clinicaltrials.gov and applies natural language processing techniques to support precise matching based on genetic inclusion criteria. The tool supplements trial data with information from other sources regarding trial interventions and their mechanisms.
TECHNICAL
An instance is currently hosted at the link below to support matching to UK trials but the source code is available from GitHub and can be configured for other countries and sources of trial data. Data are refreshed daily and stored in an optimised way to support fast query performance.
